This owlet moth species was found on the islets of the so called French Frigate Shoals, far in the northwest of the Hawai'i Archipelago.

About the habits of this species not much is known, the larvas were found on plants of Alena (Boerhavia tetrandra) and Ihi (Portulaca lutea).
