The Antisana Baccharis is a subshrub that is known from only a single collection, which was collected in the middle of the 19th century on the slopes of the volcano Antisana in Ecuadorian province of Napo.


It is possible, although unlikely, that this species is still extant within the Reserva Ecológica Antisana.
