Bulimulus sp. 'vanmoli'
|Van Mol's Bulimulus
(Bulimulus sp. 'vanmoli')
|syn. Naesiotus vanmoli|
Ecuador: Isla Santa Cruz (Indefatigable Island) / Galápagos Islands
|local name: -|
extinction date: (?)
|This species, which
obviously is still not scientifical described and therefore has only a
'tag name', was once found in the so called arid zone of the island of
Santa Cruz, that means it lived in the dry region that reaches from the
beach to about 60 m above sea level and which is characterized by a
drought adapted flora.
It was not found during the search campaigns in the years 2005 and 2006 and is probably extinct.
