Marsdenia tubulosa (F. Muell.)
Australia: Lord Howe Island
|local name: -|
extinction date: last collected 1871
|This species is known only
from the incomplete type specimen, which was collected in the year 1871 on
Lord Howe Island.
The specimen has only a single leaf left which is identical with some of the quite variable leaves found in another Australian species of the genus, the Milk Vine (Marsdenia rostrata (R.Br.)).
The Tubular Marsdenia seems to have been overlooked for a long time, and may still be extant, although very rare.
