Very welcome to my site. Here I try to give a list of all plants and animals, species as well as subspecies, known to me, which died out or were extirpated during the last ca. ten thousand years. In the course of time the names are completed with texts to explain the circumstances of the extinction, and with pictures to show that a real living creature is hidden behind the name. From time to time species which were believed to be extinct are rediscovered resp. other species die out, I try to change that on my site then as soon as possible. All these changes can be told from the update.
